Underwear goes inside the pants

On the drive through Sacramento this past weekend, we heard a “song” called Underwear Goes Inside the Pants by Lazyboy. It is a comedy routine played over a dance beat, with music breaks between each joke segment. The comedy routine is pretty funny, and is apparently from the Greg Giraldo Comedy Central Presents. This is a good extension and application of a concept album Bill Hicks was working on when he died Arizona Bay. The idea with the album was to match the rhythm and flow of the jokes with music that complements it. In the album that was released after his death, you could really see what he was getting at, but it wasn’t quite fully realized as a concept.

If you are bored, checkout the LazyboyTV website… there are samples of other songs from the album… all similar in concept to the underwear song, and there is a bunch of other content that paints more of a picture of the people behind this project. I might just end up picking this album up when it comes out next month, if only to support the novelty of it all.
